Life is Back to Normal
Life seems to finally be returning to normal. Addy got sick right after we moved in the house. Then, for the second time that week I had to go back to the doctor because she had a UTI. Poor girl! I didn't know how to explain to her why she was in pain. I really love when I get her medicine and I'm suppose to give it to her twice a day for ten days. Addy is so funny. Sometimes she'll take the medicine fine and other times she'd fight me till her death.
As soon as Addy returned to normal then Brynn decided it was her turn. She was SO sick and miserable. I believe she had roseola. It makes me sad when the little ones feel so icky. It was a long week but she is finally feeling better and now she is back to laughing and crying if mommy leaves her sight self.
I turned 27 on the 14th. Really...late twenties??? What happened? Where did the time go? I took full advantage of the day, especially because it was a Saturday and Todd was home. This included getting a massage, taking a nap AND bath, and Todd taking me out to the Japanese steakhouse...so yummy! Todd took Addy to pick out a birthday cake for me. For the last month she had been telling me that I could have a Belle cake (from Beauty and the Beast) and she will have a Little Mermaid cake on her birthday. I fully expected a princess cake upon her return. Instead, she picked out High School Musical cupcakes for me! (We dance to music clips from the movies on YouTube) On the way home she kept telling Todd. "Mom is going to be so happy! Mom is going to scream! Mom is going to love these!" Todd said it was the cutest thing EVER!
This past weekend Todd's brother and his family came up from St. George. Adalyn LOVES her cousins. She was in absolute heaven playing with them. It was great spending time with them and Addy has so much fun when they took her to a movie with them. It was only her second time in a theater so it was very exciting.
I added a slide show of our new house in the post below. Please, don't judge me. We don't have much furniture yet and I haven't even begun to decorate. I really need help in the the decorating area :)

Food Storage! After an encouraging call from my Dad I bought our first load.
Now I just have to organize our cold storage room. How exciting!
Dad took over stirring for a second and Addy was quick to say:

New House!
I haven't posted for a couple of weeks because we've been so busy packing, and moving, and cleaning, and putting away! The only thing that has gotten me through this move is knowing that this should be the last move for a VERY long time...if ever :) I am happy to note that I only have a few boxes in Brynn's room and the boxes of books that belong in the bookcase left! Pretty good for moving less than a week ago. Oh, and a huge load to pick up from the in-laws that have been storing stuff for us...waiting for the day we buy a house!
Thanks to all who have helped us. We love our house! I'll post more fun stuff soon.

Cute Girls!
This week has been pretty quiet for us but I wanted to post some pictures from our sledding trip on Valentines Day and a couple cute videos of the girls.

Finally...
Finally...we have bought a house, well almost! We close next Monday so it's getting close. We have been waiting for this day for so long. It's the little things. A garage so I don't have to carry two kids and groceries across the parking lot and up the stairs. Our own yard! A bedroom for each of the girls...and one to spare! A place for food storage. The list can go on and on.
It will be nice to move back to Utah County. I knew there was a reason I never switched our doctors even though I had to drive 30-45 minutes every time the girls needed to go in! It will also be nice to be in the "Bassett Circle." Being close for all of the family functions will be great. And last of all i'm so excited to put down some roots. This will be our sixth move since we've been married (three years) so I am over the moving thing. We are looking forward to a new chapter in our life and all of the memories we'll get to create in our new house!

Valentines Day
Our desktop hates me so I am unable to post any pictures. I have my work laptop but I don't want to put any pictures on it...so it's all text until I can get my desktop to give me some love.
Todd's mother offered to watch the girls last Friday so we could go out for a Valentines date. We happily accepted her offer and went out to dinner and then played racquetball. Dinner was great and racquetball was too until I hit Todd in the face. It was one of my hardest swings too! Ahhh! I felt really bad because his nose swelled up and he was feeling the pain BUT he's a Bassett and he wasn't going to let a little pain stop him. That is until I hit him again ten minutes later. In the face! This time it knocked off his glasses and blood started to run down his face! He swears he would be blind right now in left eye if he didn't have glasses on! Sad to say at this point we cut our racquetball time short. Todd said he wanted to keep playing but I felt REALLY bad and I knew I would be scared to swing the racquet again that night. Then he had the nerve to say I have "no control over the ball" :) poor guy! Game of racquetball anyone?
On Valentines Day I made Adalyn pink heart waffles with a special heart waffle iron. She thought that was the cat's meow! Later that day we took her sledding. Todd has taken her sledding before but this was the biggest hill yet. Of course Todd takes her straight up to the top and they speed down. The first thing Addy said was "MORE!" She loved going on her belly. When it was my turn to take her I went to the edge where it was the smallest part of the hill and I wouldn't let us go on our bellies because it scared me! I never knew I was such a wimp. It has gotten worse since I've had kids. After I took her she wanted to go with her dad again because he was much more fun. All in all it was a nice and pretty low key VDAY. In other words...perfect.

Happenings
Yesterday we were able to go visit Aunt Amy. Adalyn adores Amy because Amy always does cool stuff like painting Addy's nails. Addy is very proud of her nails and was so excited to show her Dad. I never use nail polish so I never thought of putting it on Addy. I'm glad Amy thinks of this stuff!
Saturday we went over to Sugar House Park. It was a little colder than we thought it would be but it was nice to let Addy run around the playground and take a long walk. She has NO FEAR! I always get nervous but she just laughs and laughs whenever Dad has her do something scary, like swing really high!
Brynn is crawling! She's on the go and lovin' it because now she can reach all of Addy's toys.
