December 31st, 2014

  • Monday night we planned to meet up with the other Bassetts for family night at Hang Time since Grandma and Grandpa Bassett gave passes for Christmas. Unfortunately, there was a private party scheduled so instead we went over to Dustin and Kate's house for a movie and games. Kate was even nice enough to let all the cousins spend the night:) My kids love sleepovers since they only get to have them with their cousins!

  • Todd and I enjoyed talking and laughing with our brothers and sisters.
  • On Wednesday, we headed over to the Legacy Center to go swimming. Bodee is doing so well in his swim lessons he can swim to the edge of the pool after coming out of the slide. He's doing great, especially for a four year old. It was good letting the kids get their energy out.

  • We originally planned to drive up to Salt Lake City for New Year's Eve but it has been SO cold out that we ended up getting pizza and renting a movie. Not the most exciting night but with only five weeks left of this pregnancy I am just fine with hanging out at home for a evening. We celebrated New Years with the east coast which was a good idea since Todd, Brynn, and Bodee didn't make it until midnight.

  • Addy and I made it until midnight so we took the first selfie of the year! This girl is so fun to hang out with! Always positive with a smile on her face!
  • Todd and I and the kids have been so very blessed in 2014. We can't believe what a great year we've had. We are so grateful to our Father in Heaven for looking out for us and blessing us each and every day. We are looking forward to 2015 very much, especially with baby girl coming into our family. Being a mother and wife to this family is more than I could ever ask for. Lucky, lucky me!

December 28th, 2014

  • Wednesday morning was Christmas Eve...aka Todd's 37th Birthday! He wanted to open his presents first thing after he woke up. Love this guy! He really is an amazing dad and husband.

  • He decided to take the girls skiing with him for his birthday!
  • While the rest of family was skiing, Bodee and I finally make some Christmas cut out cookies...it only took until Christmas Eve. Once again, tired, tired pregnant mama.
  • After Todd and the girls got home we picked up his parents and went out to dinner at Hibachi house. Chinese for Christmas Eve. If you know Todd you know it is his favorite.
  • After we got home we read the Christmas story from the scriptures as well as some of our other favorite stories. The kids also opened the gift they gave each other. Addy gave Bodee "How to Train Your Dragon 2". Brynn gave Addy an art set and Bodee gave Brynn a play dog that has a car.
  • Merry Christmas to my Favorite Kids!
  •  The kids worked hard and decorated cookies for Santa Claus.

  •  Santa came!

  •  Christmas morning we waited until Grandma and Grandpa Bassett came over and then we opened presents!
  • Bodee received a DS/case/games, Imaginext castle, dragon, knights, Imaginext Joker House, Baymax t-shirt, Superman and Batman legos, Superman cape, Hungry Hippos
  • Brynn received a DS/case/games, guitar stand, girl Legos, Heelies, roller blades, telescope and microscope, Jenga
  • Addy received DS/case/games, girl Legos, soccer pants and Surf backpack, Kindle paperwhite, Tys, Battleship

  •  Playing Jenga on Christmas afternoon.
  •  Late Christmas afternoon Todd's parents came back over and I cooked a ham dinner for us. We watched movies, played games, and spent the day together.
  • Christmas evening selfie.
  •  Todd went into work for a few hours on Friday so I took the kids over to the Children's museum. The girls really wanted to do the high ropes course again.

  •  Sibling love! Besties!

  •  We finally got snow on Christmas Day so the kids went out to play the next day. Here they are trying to sled down the tiny hill at the neighbors house.

  •  Friday night Todd's dad was kind enough to offer the watch the kiddos while we went out to dinner for our 9th Anniversary at Mi Ranchitos. 9 years with this guy! All I can say is he had me laughing to tears so many times this year. I appreciate that he is still so funny to me. I can't imagine my life without this stud:)
  •  Superman is ready! Cute four year old boy!
  •  I got a few of Todd's friends together on Saturday night to celebrate his birthday. We met up with Shawn/Katie, Rob/Jen, Ben/Lisa for a game of bowling and dinner at Chilis. It had been a long time since we've hung out with that group and so it was really good to see everybody. Todd even rocked it and bowled a 190! Too bad I didn't get any other pictures of the night:(

December 21st, 2014

  • First thing Monday morning Addy was part of the school talent show as part of the jump team. You can see her in the left corner:) She actually had a solo but I didn't know and wasn't able to capture it.
  • Monday night we drove through the Thanksgiving Point lights for Family Home Evening. We picked up Grandma and Grandpa Bassett on the way to join us. It just didn't look the same without any snow but of course the kids loved it. The picture is not the best but it's always so cute when the kids drive in Daddy's lap.
  •  Bodee and Emerson playing the iPad. Surprise!
  •  Bodee coming down the stairs bringing me Christmas books to read. So so cute! He is at such a fun age right now. Todd and I wish we could freeze him so he can stay like this forever! He has also become such a rough and tough boy! He always wants to wrestle his dad and sisters. Todd is LOVING this stage and loves treating him like a tough guy!
  •  Thursday was the Christmas sing. 3rd grade sang a song in Latin and one in Chinese.
  •  Brynn got stuck behind a super tall girl but the 1st graders sang the cutest songs!
  •  This is what a super tired, pregnant mama does for dinner when she is done for the day...Costco!
  •  Bodee completed his first 24 piece puzzle. Good job, dude!

  •  The girls had pajama day at school on Friday. They just can't wait for Christmas to come any longer!!
  •  We got one huge project completed this week...Todd got the room all painted and with the help of his Dad put in an awesome closet system. They got their new bedding out and we moved them downstairs! Now we just have some decorating to do but things are moving along nicely. It only means baby sister is coming soon!
  •  We bought tickets for the Thanksgiving Point Christmas Breakfast this year. The person selling me the tickets said it was amazing!...for the price it was okay but definitely not worth the high cost we thought. The kids had a good time of course and they finally got to see Santa.

  •  Making candy cane ornaments and cutting out snowflakes to fly up the air tube.

  • Dancing with the elf:)
  • Selfie Saturday at the futsal game! Love these kiddos SO MUCH!
