February 16th, 2014

  • Addy's orthodontist has a pretty sweet game room inside his office but the best part is the games are free! Bodee loves to go to Addy's monthly ortho visit and in fact has become really good at this snowmobile game. I was pretty impressed watching him play.
  • Valentine's Day started off super but quickly turned sour upon finding out my dad suffered a stroke at work that day. So scary and I hate that fact I'm too far away to run over and be there for my dad and mom. As of the 16th he was still in the hospital but was doing better. Sarah and Gary were awesome enough to drive down and be with our parents.
  • Todd got all the girls flowers for Valentines Day. Thursday night Todd had drove to his brother's to help him move and took Bodee with him. I dropped Bodee off at Todd's work and Bodee kept saying "It's my lucky day" because he was getting to hang out at Dad's work. On the way home from helping Todd's brother they stopped and bought flowers. Todd said they talked the entire way home about keeping it a surprise until the next day. Bodee ran in the door and happily told me how they had just bought me flowers. Gotta love a three year old! The flowers were beautiful!

  • I got to volunteer for the Valentines Party for Brynn's class. I was in charge of a game. I love spending time in the classroom with my girls.
  • Usually we have a fancy dinner at home for Valentines Day but because it was Friday and we ended up taking the kids out. We went to Hibachi house and then to Kneaders for dessert.
  • Todd is obsessed with growing a beard. He loves it. Me...not so much:) I'm constantly trying to convince him he doesn't need it. He keeps telling me it's gnarly.

  • Another ski day on Saturday. This time Todd decided we would take Bodee up the lift for the first time. Remember when I said he didn't know how to snowplow?  I skied with the girls, which was such a blast for me. I couldn't believe how well they were doing! Todd went with Bodee. He had to place him between his skis which meant he was bending over in half holding him the ENTIRE way down the run. Talk about a lot of work! I think he needs to learn how to snowplow before he skis down a run again. The things we do for our kids...at least we're making great memories.

  • Todd's beard defense is that it keeps him warm on the mountain:)
