July 7th, 2013

• On Tuesday this week we headed out to a free BBQ and fireworks show that is put on close to our house. Since it was the first fireworks of the week the kids loved it. We sat with the Tongi family and our neighbors were also there.
• Below is Bodee with his buddy Emerson and Todd with the kiddos.

• Both Monday and Wednesday this week Addy went to Startalk. It is a summer program that allows the Chinese Immersion kids to keep up with their Chinese. Luckily her Startalk teacher is also her new second grade teacher. Addy says she speaks a little differently than Mrs. Ackerson but I think it's good practice for when the school year starts.
• Thursday was the 4th of July! Wahoo! I love this holiday. Here are the kids in their 4th of July outfits!

• We spent the afternoon at the lake like every other 4th of July. And like always the kids had a super time. It was pretty low key this year and we all enjoyed ourselves a lot.

• After the lake we grabbed a quick bite at Cafe Rio and then headed over to Chris and Cathy's for the fireworks show. Dad had bought us a bunch in Wyoming on his way to Utah and so we had a pretty darn good show. (I especially loved the firework that tipped over and exploded towards the crowd. I about peed my pants:)

• I had to work both Friday and Saturday but Todd had a long weekend so he decided to take the girls and head down to Fish Lake where his brother Chad and his family were camping. They got back on Sunday and the girls couldn't stop talking about what a great time they had. They went fishing, stayed up until 3am playing games, went four-wheeling and got as dirty as possible. 
• While Todd was gone with the girls Dane and I just hung out and watched 'Friends':) We even went and got Shaved Ice again. Dane got a large...and it was large! I was laughing so hard when they brought out this huge monster but he ate it all!
