Grandma's Here!

My Mama came to visit our family over Easter. It was so nice to have her here. The girls really enjoyed getting to know their Grandma from far, far away a little better. Grandma Bassett outdid herself once again at the annual Easter Party and everyone enjoy it. She always knows how to throw a party! Easter was nice of course, except Todd was got sick the night before so he had a rough day and I had to take my Mom to the airport...sad!

Time has gone by so fast the last couple of weeks. I feel like we haven't done all that much but somehow the days fly by. We are excited for the impending warm weather. Always appreciated in the Bassett house!

I forgot to add Easter Egg Dying Pictures in my slideshow...Addy had lots of fun

She took it very seriously.

The eggs got dyed more than once!

Jumpin Jacks

Yesterday we went with our friends the Tongis to Jumpin Jacks. It was SO FUN! The entire place is filled with giant slides and jumping inflatables. The slides are high, steep and fast. I highly recommend it for kids of any age. They even have a $3 coupon on their website if you go Mon-Thurs.

I finally got a picture of 'Aisea. He was running around the ENTIRE time!
He is such a great kid!

Craft Time

It has been a pretty quiet week. The snow has forced us inside once again so I have been thinking of new ways to fill the day.
Some of our crafts. Pom-Pom Girl, bead braclet, and Fruit Loop decorated napkin holders!
Every morning Addy and I look out the window to see the weather. We've been doing this for awhile but I finally made a poster with weather decals my MIL gave us! Addy gets to pick three words/pictures that describe the weather that day.
Brynn loves the tub. She always tries to crawl in the tub...that doesn't work so well! They are becoming such good friends. I love it!

New House

Life is Back to Normal

Life seems to finally be returning to normal. Addy got sick right after we moved in the house. Then, for the second time that week I had to go back to the doctor because she had a UTI. Poor girl! I didn't know how to explain to her why she was in pain. I really love when I get her medicine and I'm suppose to give it to her twice a day for ten days. Addy is so funny. Sometimes she'll take the medicine fine and other times she'd fight me till her death.

As soon as Addy returned to normal then Brynn decided it was her turn. She was SO sick and miserable. I believe she had roseola. It makes me sad when the little ones feel so icky. It was a long week but she is finally feeling better and now she is back to laughing and crying if mommy leaves her sight self.

I turned 27 on the 14th. Really...late twenties??? What happened? Where did the time go? I took full advantage of the day, especially because it was a Saturday and Todd was home. This included getting a massage, taking a nap AND bath, and Todd taking me out to the Japanese steakhouse...so yummy! Todd took Addy to pick out a birthday cake for me. For the last month she had been telling me that I could have a Belle cake (from Beauty and the Beast) and she will have a Little Mermaid cake on her birthday. I fully expected a princess cake upon her return. Instead, she picked out High School Musical cupcakes for me! (We dance to music clips from the movies on YouTube) On the way home she kept telling Todd. "Mom is going to be so happy! Mom is going to scream! Mom is going to love these!" Todd said it was the cutest thing EVER!

This past weekend Todd's brother and his family came up from St. George. Adalyn LOVES her cousins. She was in absolute heaven playing with them. It was great spending time with them and Addy has so much fun when they took her to a movie with them. It was only her second time in a theater so it was very exciting.

I added a slide show of our new house in the post below. Please, don't judge me. We don't have much furniture yet and I haven't even begun to decorate. I really need help in the the decorating area :)

Food Storage! After an encouraging call from my Dad I bought our first load.
Now I just have to organize our cold storage room. How exciting!

Addy has become a great helper in the kitchen. Yikes! So scary but she loves it.
Dad took over stirring for a second and Addy was quick to say:
"Excuse me Dad, I was here first. I'll do it." The apron is the finishing touch
These are some of the High School Musical cupcakes that Addy picked out.

Brynn is becoming such a big girl. She is already pushing a walker!

I cut my finger a few weeks ago with a bread knife. Four stitches later...it was pretty yucky
Thank goodness Addy reminds me to be careful everytime a pull out a knife now!

New House!

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks because we've been so busy packing, and moving, and cleaning, and putting away! The only thing that has gotten me through this move is knowing that this should be the last move for a VERY long time...if ever :) I am happy to note that I only have a few boxes in Brynn's room and the boxes of books that belong in the bookcase left! Pretty good for moving less than a week ago. Oh, and a huge load to pick up from the in-laws that have been storing stuff for us...waiting for the day we buy a house!

Thanks to all who have helped us. We love our house! I'll post more fun stuff soon.
