May 26th, 2013

  • Addy has been taking weekly golf lessons with Aunt Amy for the last month. She gets to go with her friend Emma. They sure have a good time each week and Addy's swing is coming along really well.

  • Thursday at Girl Scouts we picked up trash around out neighborhood. I didn't think the girls would get too much but surprisingly they pickup up around four bags full. I'm proud of my sweet Girl Scouts!

  • Friday was 'Stay and Play' at Addy's school. Brynn and Bodee were very excited to go. You can see Brynn in the background on the climbing tower. Don't judge Bodee's jammies. He loves to wear pjs and some days it's just not worth the fight:)

  • Since Brynn first started the preschool year she earned 10 nickles each week for reading 10 books. She saved all her nickles and she earned $18.00 over the past school year. She was so excited to turn it all in and get her cash!

  • Silly kids just hanging around!

  • Bodee found our snowman getup and put on a little show for us this week. He ran around singing "Once There Was a Snowman" and telling us he was Santa Claus and saying "ho, ho,ho". What a goof troop! He is a really funny kid!

  • Friday Todd got home from work a little early and we went plant shopping so landscape our home and plant our vegetable garden. On Saturday we spent the whole day working on the yard. The kids kept busy just playing outside all day. Here they are picnicking outside. I'll have to take a picture of our flowers once they start growing a bit and looking a bit fuller.

  • Late Saturday afternoon Todd took the kids swimming to the outdoor pool since it opened this weekend. They didn't last too long since it was super cold but they were so happy to have their first swim of the summer.

  • Sunday evening we went for a little drive. We ended up visiting Pleasant Grove and Todd's grandmother's grave. At the grave site we also visited this war memorial. It was good to discuss with the kids the meaning of this holiday weekend. After PG we drove down to Provo and did a bit of the cemetery tour with Todd's parents and aunts and uncles. I do love our Memorial Day traditions. It turned out to be a late night but just spending time with our kids is totally worth it.
