- Brynn has been wanting to invite some of her friends over from class but since I didn't know a could of the other moms too well I kept putting it off. Finally we decided to throw a holiday craft party! She had four other girls come over and Addy invited Hailey over to craft. I completely forgot to take any pictures of the girls while they were here but here a picture of the mess left behind. I'm glad they all had a good time!
- Thursday night Brynn had to go right from her swim team practice over to dress rehearsal/picture night for her jazz/hip hop class dance recital. This is us in the locker room trying to get her hair dried in the curlers in a record amount of time.
- Friday after school Addy went over to a friend's house and Brynn missed her ride so she walked over with them. By the time I went to go pick up Brynn ten minutes later I found her crying because she had JUMPED OFF THEIR ROOF! WHAT? Addy was kind enough to let her go first because 'youngest to oldest'! And she informed me that they had three pillows on the ground. Well, Brynn really hurt her ankle and had to limp through her dance recital later that night. Sometimes you just don't get what your kids are thinking! All I can say is...Brynn the Brave!
- I do LOVE her in her dance costume. So adorable!
- Saturday, after Addy's basketball game (Brynn had to skip hers because of her ankle) we headed down to the Bassett Christmas Party at Chad and Terral's house in St. George. It was a really fun time. We love spending time with all of those Bassetts! We had dinner, divided up and play Minute to Win It games, had an adult nativity, and ended with our favorite Christmas stories. Pretty much perfect!
- Us three sister in laws were the three angels. After all the husbands got dressed up as shepards and wise men we were laughing SO HARD because of their outfits. We were happy to keep with the angel hats!
- The next morning after some swimming at the hotel we stopped back over at Chad's to play for a bit. I really love how the cousins are some of my kid's best friends. So blessed to have too influences around them:)
- It was a long drive back home the very next day but both Todd and I said what a enjoyable time we had. We feel so fortunate to have so much good family so close to us.
- I took Bodee with some neighbor ladies and their sons to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Afterwards they wanted to look at the reindeer. Christmas is coming closer!
- On Thursday night I hear a knock at the door and it's my sister Gerren and her husband Andrew!!! I couldn't believe it! I was sooooo excited to see them and it was so nice of them to surprise me and come for a visit. Bodee sure did love Gerren while she was here:)
- Gerren and I took the girls shopping at Fashion Place Mall on Saturday afternoon and here they are striking a pose in the store windows.
- We went out to lunch before they headed back to the airport at the end of the weekend. I was so sad to see them go. It was nice just spending time together and catching up. I wish everyday I lived closer to my sisters, they really are some of my best friends.
- Sunday night was the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. Since Addy is eight years old and old enough to attend I thought she might think it's pretty cool to watch it in person. She was in awe of how large the conference center is but she did get a little bored by the end of the devotional. It was pretty fun for Todd and I to have a one on one with her. We need to do it more often with each of our kiddos we learned.
- Thanksgiving week meant three days off school! On Wednesday, Todd took the girls skiing for the first time this season. We got ski passes super cheap this year since we bought them in summer so hopefully Todd and the kids will get to ski a lot this year.
- This is a shot of Bodee after his Thanksgiving day at preschool. I thought the feather hat was pretty cute.
- Thanksgiving morning Todd took Addy for the first time to the annual shooting activity. She had the best time and loved it because her cousins Sammie, Bella, and Sage were there too.
- The Bassett brothers showing off their beards at Thanksgiving dinner. (Bryan didn't really compete:)
- I took the kids to see Big Hero 6 this weekend. I actually had no desire to see it but I actually really liked it. The kids really liked it too!
- Me and this baby girl made it to 30 weeks! Yay! This pregnancy has taken A LOT out of me. I'm not sure if it's because I'm in my 30s or if its because the kids are so busy now but I am so tired ALL THE TIME! Ready for this girl to make her appearance:)
- Since the girls are not training as much since the fall soccer season ended Addy's coach Samir got them involved in a Cross Fit class once a week. I don't actually love the concept of Cross Fit but the girls mainly do exercises that involved using their own body weight so I'm okay with that. My favorite line from Addy is when I went to go pick her up and she told me "I need Deep Blue (essential oil) all over my body"! The classes are combined with the girls U11 team so she is one of the smallest ones there:)
- I also got a couple of pictures of Brynn playing up her bball skills
- Brynn competed in her first official swim meet this week! It was so fun to be apart of the excitement. She placed 2nd in the U6 50y freestyle and 3rd in the U6 50y backstroke. She did a great job!
- Since my calling in church is the Personal Progress secretary I was in charge of the annual Evening of Excellence for our ward. After many, many hours it finally all came together and I think it turned out pretty good. Of course now I know some things to change for next year but we have almost 60 young women in our ward so every activity is a big undertaking.
- Brynn found out she won first place for her Reflections entry this year! Go Brynn! Now she moves onto the next round.
- Bodee sportin' the Packer gear!
- When you just can't finish the book before your eyes close. He's already reading Christmas books too:)
- It is pretty warm out still so Todd started working on putting the Christmas lights up. The girls thought it was so fun to walk up on the roof. I was just a little more than nervous!
- So Fall soccer ended but basketball started for Addy and Brynn and Futsal began for Addy. Our Saturdays are officially full again! Futsal is so fun to watch though! Brynn is doing well figuring out basketball and Addy scored 20 points in her game on Saturday!
- We took some family pictures back in September. Here are a few of our favorite shots. I can't wait to get them taken in summer when I'm not pregnant(aka...not fat:), baby girl is here, and we have some pretty flowers in the background:)
