The holidays are done and the horrid reality of winter has set in. It is now that I would give anything to go back to Hawaii!
I miss the Aloha Spirit, the sun, the beach, the hottest place in town...Chevron, watermelon ice cream at the Seasider, and of course the Bridge House and my 40 plus roommates while living there! I miss Culture Night and Song Fest, the Luau and serving Pineapple Delites at the PCC, Joke...the best teacher...I'm the shirt, not the butt! Walking across the street to take a dip in the ocean anytime of the day or night and Chocolate Haupia Pie.
These are only memories, but I appreciate each and every one of them and all the people I met along the way and I share these memories with. Hawaii will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope someday I can take my family there.
I always miss Hawaii but for some reason, I always miss it more in the dead of winter!
So please, if your day is blue (or snowy), sit back, turn up the volume and listen to a couple of my favorite "miss Hawaii" songs!

Hukilau Beach
Hukilau Cafe...the best french toast in the world. (Elizabeth, remember when you called to order and they forgot you were on the phone for over 30 minutes so I finally had to drive down there and tell them you were still waiting! LOL!)

i TOTALLY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL! jen! those were the days huh? you know what...if we had a great beach like hukilau here in slc i don't think it would be as bad..but alas...another one bites the dust hahaha
I know what you mean. Every once in a while I just have a random memory. I still tell Dan all about Hawaii and can't wait to take him there one day!
Oh sad!!! I was just chatting with Nia about how much I miss Hawaii. She is there now, visiting her family! I miss it sooooooo much and yes the winter here just makes it that much worse. I do remember waiting for the cafe to take my order.....LOL. But it was worth it for there french toast. It is the best french toast in the world. Actually, they just have the best breakfasts in the world, period!
So thanks for depressing me!!1 LOL JUST KIDDING
